DIN 2510

DIN 2510 is a German standard that specifies dimensions, materials, and technical requirements for stud ends and tapped ends of flanged connections in high-pressure and high-temperature piping systems. It covers threaded fasteners with large widths across flats, which are commonly used in oil and gas, chemical, and power generation industries. DIN 2510 provides guidance on the dimensions, material grades, testing, and marking of stud ends, nuts, and tapped ends, to ensure their performance and interchangeability in harsh environments.

Uses of DIN 2510

DIN 2510 is a standard for high-strength, high-pressure stud bolts used in critical applications where safety and reliability are paramount.

  • These stud bolts are designed to withstand high pressure and temperature conditions, making them suitable for use in petrochemical, chemical, and oil and gas industries.
  • DIN 2510 stud bolts are commonly used in flanged connections, such as those found in pipelines, pressure vessels, and valves.
  • They are also used in other applications where high-strength fasteners are required, such as in heavy equipment, turbines, and machinery.
  • DIN 2510 stud bolts provide a secure and leak-proof connection due to their precise and uniform pre-tension load, which helps to distribute the load evenly across the flange face and prevent leaks.

Materials for DIN 2510

DIN 2510 stud bolts are available in a range of materials, including carbon steel, alloy steel, and stainless steel, to suit different applications and environmental conditions.
